Note:

  • We process all enrolments without delay.  We are unable to offer any appointments/prescriptions however, until we have received your medical records from your previous medical practice and this can sometimes take up to 10 working days. When this process is complete and your enrolment is active, we will immediately send you an email/text to let you know.
  • To maintain continuity of care and provide the highest standard of service, we require new patients to consent to the transfer of their medical records from their previous doctor. Unfortunately, if consent is not given for medical notes to be transferred, we are unable to proceed with enrolment due to medico-legal risks.
  • There is no charge to enroll with us, but we ask that all new patients over 16 years old see the nurse for a new patient interview.
  • Please ensure you have read our patient information and terms of trade. By enrolling with us, you agree to these terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?

Like many practices throughout New Zealand and the rest of the world, Bryndwr Medical Rooms has Nurse Practitioners (NPs) working in the same capacity as General Practitioners (GPs).

NPs provide the same care as GPs across all healthcare settings. They diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, order tests, and manage chronic conditions just as a GP would. NPs are fully qualified, highly trained, and have decades of experience, all of which contribute to their vital role in delivering expert medical care.

You can confidently see an NP knowing they provide the same level of healthcare as a GP.

Manuka Medical Limited is the parent company that took ownership of Bryndwr Medical Rooms in January of 2025.  The trading name has remained as ‘Bryndwr Medical Rooms’ but the full name for legal or banking purposes is ‘Manuka Medical Limited T/a (Trading as) Bryndwr Medical Rooms’.  So you may occasionally see Manuka Medical Limited; but for the most part, we still refer to ourselves as Bryndwr Medical Rooms.
